Grupo ESTRELLA announced today the acquisition of Cementos Fortaleza in El Salvador, marking the entry of Cemento PANAM into the Salvadoran market and strengthening its regional industrial platform.
The agreement, backed financially by BLADEX, BAC, and Global Bank, includes the acquisition of the plant located in Acajutla, with an installed production capacity of 350,000 tons of cement per year.
With this acquisition, Cemento PANAM expands its operations to a third country, in addition to the Dominican Republic and Panama, where it operates under the Cemento BAYANO brand.
