The Superintendencia del Sistema Financiero (SSF) informed depositors of the Cooperativa Santa Victoria (COSAVI de R.L.) that, starting september 3, 2026, a new phase of deposit refunds will be available for those who hold funds in the cooperative.
According to information released by the SSF, this new phase includes deposits of up to US$140,000 in total. This expands the process for refunding COSAVI depositors’ funds, under the scheme established by the financial authorities.
Depositors eligible for this new phase can process their refunds at the Central Branch, located on Gabriela Mistral Street. Service will be available monday through friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on saturdays from 8:00 a.m. At 12:00 noon.
The SSF also explained that COSAVI’s income comes from payments received on existing loans. These funds are part of the resources used in the process of returning funds to depositors.
The supervisory financial institution asked those affected to stay tuned to official SSF channels and information to stay informed and avoid confusion or unverified information.
The activation of this new layer represents further progress in the refund process for COSAVI depositors. The SSF will continue to officially communicate the stages and provisions related to this process and therefore recommends that users consult only official sources to learn when and how to carry out their procedures.
