The head of the Comisión Ejecutiva Hidroeléctrica del Río Lempa (CEL), Daniel Álvarez, inaugurated the first photovoltaic plant built by the State in El Salvador.

The head of CEL detailed that the plant consists of 29,904 solar panels, in a land that covers 19 blocks and has an installed capacity of 17 megawatts peak, supplying clean energy to more than 2 million users of the national grid.
