Bancoagrícola promotes the empowerment of women business leaders

Written by Karla Gutiérrez

With the objective of facilitating knowledge that helps create and strengthen leadership skills for women and their businesses, Bancoagrícola developed Programa Integral Mujer Activa, this time through a workshop aimed at female clients who own businesses and SMEs in the eastern part of the country.

"This is part of Bancoagrícola's great sustainability strategy and with it we seek to directly and positively impact the productive sectors, mainly SMEs led by women, who foster wellbeing for their families, building more stable and fair communities", said Emperatriz Mayorga, Bancoagrícola's Sustainability Manager.

The integral program Mujer Activa develops two fundamental pillars:

  1. Intellectual and willpower capacities

Set of skills that allow learning new knowledge, perfecting talents through repetition and discipline, cultivating good habits and continuously improving oneself.

  1. Economic well-being

Ability to generate and implement good habits in the management of assets and financial resources.

The project was designed for professional women, clients of Bancoagrícola, who have an independent business, with the aim of providing accompaniment, support and guidance in the development and strengthening of key skills for the professional and personal success of this group of women.

Bancoagrícola believes in the country and the potential of its people, which is why it generates more opportunities for the productive sectors, large and small, to access financing, with a view to the future.

"We strongly support and promote the economic empowerment of women with the offer of financial products and business support, such as Crédito Mujer Futuro and spaces for training and business growth", said the manager.

The bank seeks to know the needs of this group of businesswomen who are part of its network, to offer them more and better services, with a high degree of acceptance and, above all, a viable solution to their needs.

Ella ES Líder Platform

As part of the bank's commitment to promote the empowerment of women inside and outside the organization, Bancoagrícola created the Ella ES Líder platform to promote financial inclusion and increase the participation, representation, and visibility of women.

By the end of 2023, Bancoagrícola had supported more than 110 companies and businesses led by women with mentoring through the In-pactamos program, as well as with networking spaces between the bank's clients and suppliers.

In addition, more than 100 women owners of companies and businesses have participated in training and business and personal growth programs, giving them the opportunity to continue dreaming and empowering their leadership through a comprehensive value proposition.
