Near the capital, MITUR offers tourists different options to visit on vacation

Written by Evelyn Alas

Salvadorans living in the capital and surrounding areas have good options for tourism without traveling so many kilometers. The Central Government has recreational parks, iconic buildings in the Historic Center, museums, among others.

All tourist sites managed by the Government are fully equipped, safe and functional, and the entrance fees are affordable.

The minister of Tourism, Morena Valdez, declared prior to the beginning of the vacation week, that they expect more than half a million visitors, between nationals and foreigners in the Historic Center of San Salvador.

After the beaches, downtown San Salvador is one of the most visited places by tourists, and this is due to the security offered, as there is no threat of criminals, people are interested in knowing the historic buildings and public squares, emblematic.

The Parque Infantil de Diversiones, under the administration of the Ministerio de Cultura, is one of the main attractions for families who decide to stay in the capital during the vacations.

Also, a little further south of San Salvador, in Colonia Nicaragua, is located the Parque Saburo Hirao, an excellent option to visit with the family, where you can spend an entertaining day.

The Parque Recreativo Los Chorros, on the Panamerican Highway, near Santa Tecla, is a complex of fresh water pools that is in great demand among salvadorans and foreigners.

The Central Government has created optimal conditions for salvadorans to enjoy a safe vacation period and to be able to move around the country without the threat of being a victim of the underworld.
