
The Ministerio de Trabajo y Previsión Social announced the opening of the call for nominations for the Premio Nacional al Trabajo Decente 2026, a recognition that seeks to highlight companies and public institutions that promote decent working conditions and implement best practices for the benefit of their employees.
The initiative, launched under the leadership of Minister of Labor Rolando Castro, aims to recognize workplaces that foster respect for labor rights, occupational safety and health, and the professional development of their employees.
According to the Ministry, the award not only values job creation but also the commitment of organizations to building safe, inclusive, and respectful work environments where workers have opportunities for growth and well-being.

The Ministry explained that interested companies and institutions can register to participate in an evaluation process, which will analyze the decent work practices implemented. Subsequently, organizations that meet the established criteria will be recognized for their performance.
Authorities indicated that this award represents the highest recognition granted by the Ministry of Labor to workplaces that promote good labor practices and contribute to strengthening an organizational culture based on respect, commitment, and the dignity of workers.
They also called on more companies and public institutions to join this initiative, emphasizing that adopting these standards benefits both workers and the development of organizations.

During the presentation of the call for nominations, Minister Rolando Castro said that the salvadoran workforce is distinguished by its honesty, principles, and values, and noted that providing opportunities for worker growth is fundamental to strengthening the country’s labor market.
The Ministry of Labor invited interested companies and institutions to learn about the categories, requirements, and application process for the Premio Nacional al Trabajo Decente 2026, as well as to complete their registration through the channels provided by the institution.
