In a context where technology platforms continue to transform the economy in emerging markets, inDrive reaffirms its commitment to El Salvador as part of its growth strategy in Central America, promoting a model based on freedom of choice with direct negotiation between users and drivers.
With a global presence in more than 48 countries, 1,065 cities, and over 400 million downloads worldwide, the company has established itself as one of the most relevant mobility platforms internationally, standing out for its focus on emerging markets with high potential. El Salvador has shown sustained growth of more than 50% year-over-year in the last eight quarters, positioning itself as a key market in its expansion in the region.
Driving real economic opportunities
As collaborative economy models grow in Latin America, platforms like inDrive are consolidating themselves as a relevant alternative for generating supplemental income. In 2025, with nearly 600,000 downloads, according to Sensor Tower data, the platform ranked as the most downloaded mobility app in the country for the fifth consecutive year.
A model gaining traction
InDrive’s main differentiator is its “fair pricing” model, which allows users to directly negotiate the cost of the trip, unlike other platforms that rely exclusively on automated algorithms.
This approach has gained traction in Latin America. According to a recent Oxford Economics study in emerging markets, 75% of trips on the platform involve price negotiation, while 55% of users perceive more affordable fares. In turn, 66% of drivers report higher earnings using this model.

“In markets like El Salvador, we are seeing increased demand for systems that give users more control and better conditions for drivers. Direct negotiation addresses both needs and is driving the adoption of these types of platforms in the region”, said Javier Martínez, General Manager for Central America and the Caribbean at inDrive.
The Evolution of urban mobility in the region
Mobility in Latin American cities is undergoing a transformation driven by technology, new urban dynamics, and the growing demand for more flexible and accessible solutions.
In this context, inDrive has evolved beyond urban mobility, integrating solutions such as intercity rides, deliveries, and freight transport, in addition to traditional trips within the city, establishing itself as an infrastructure that connects people with opportunities within the collaborative digital economy.
Currently, the platform operates in key cities such as San Salvador, San Miguel, and Santa Ana, expanding its reach and coverage within the country.
Presence at SBNX Summit
As part of its participation in the innovation and business ecosystem in El Salvador, inDrive participated in the SBNX Summit, where it shared its vision on the growth of technology platforms and their impact on the digital economy in the region.
This participation reflects inDrive’s commitment to El Salvador. In this regard, the sustained development of digital mobility and the adoption of more flexible models continue to position the country as a relevant market within its Latin American strategy, while the company continues to expand its services to facilitate users’ daily lives and connect more people in the future.
