In the region, El Salvador is located in the first place as an issuing market of tourists to Honduras; therefore, the IHT seeks to promote and publicize all the natural and cultural wealth through this more personalized business event (B2C) between Honduran and salvadoran entrepreneurs in the tourism sector to explore new opportunities for growth in the industry and enhance tourism development in the region.
The press conference was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Honduras in El Salvador, Taiff Sandoval; the TAG Airlines sales manager, Mario Durán; the IHT marketing manager, Stephany Mena and representatives of agencies, tour operators, guides, transportation and hoteliers from both countries, who were able to establish strategic alliances.
Honduras, with its strategic location in the heart of Central America, has a wide variety of options for its visitors ranging from stunning beaches and world-class diving sites in Roatan and Utila; nature, adventure and living culture in La Ceiba, exploration of colonial sites such as Comayagua and Gracias, the historical legacy of the ancient Mayan city of Copan Ruinas and all kinds of unforgettable experiences for all types of tourists.
"Honduras and El Salvador are brother countries with a rich shared history and culture, and it is precisely that proximity that offers us a unique opportunity to strengthen our ties through tourism. We have a variety of tourist attractions and you can find in Honduras a safe space and option for this august holiday", said IHT Marketing manager, Stephany Mena.
During the event there was an artistic presentation, tastings, raffle of tourist packages and Honduran handicrafts.
