Jimmy John’s opened its first restaurant outside the United States in San Salvador, El Salvador, on thursday, september 12, at the Plaza Luceiro Shopping Center.

Known for its fresh, fast, and flavorful sandwiches, Jimmy John’s has grown from its first sandwich store in Charleston, Illinois, in 1983 to more than 2,600 locations today. Inspired by its obsession with quality, Jimmy John’s uses only premium meats and fresh vegetables that are hand-cut in the restaurants every day, along with freshly baked bread to create the most indulgent sandwich.
Jimmy John’s is part of the Inspire Brands portfolio, which also includes more than 32,600 Arby’s, Baskin-Robbins, Buffalo Wild Wings, Dunkin’ and Sonic locations worldwide.

The expansion of Jimmy John’s in El Salvador is set to be a catalyst for the brand’s global growth, paving the way for future openings in Canada and South Korea. El Sandwich El Salvador, S.A. de C.V. also plans to launch additional Jimmy John’s locations throughout El Salvador before the end of 2024.
The menu includes a combination of classic Jimmy John’s sandwiches and exclusive new toasted sandwiches. Customers can choose from sandwiches made with Jimmy John’s iconic freshly baked bread or a carb-friendly alternative, the popular “Unwich” lettuce wrap.
The opening event was held on september 12 at the restaurant in San Salvador, which is located in the Plaza Luceiro Shopping Center, between El Mirador street and Masferrer Avenue north, Colonia Escalon, local 1-1.
