A US$50 million investment is underway in Antiguo Cuscatlán with the construction of the new Campus Corporativo de BAC Credomatic. The project is currently 55% complete and, according to Luis Rodríguez, executive director of COAMSS/OPAMSS, represents a renewed commitment to corporate infrastructure development in La Libertad Este.
Rodríguez reported that the complex’s construction is generating approximately 350 direct and indirect jobs, proceeding with a design created by the international architecture firm Gensler. The scale of the investment positions this project as a significant new corporate infrastructure development in this area of the country.
The new campus also incorporates sustainability criteria from the design and construction phases. Planned features include projected energy savings of 41% and a 45% reduction in water consumption, alongside the inclusion of green spaces within the complex.
During a technical site visit, Rodríguez noted that the infrastructure incorporates spaces designed to utilize natural light—part of measures aimed at enhancing the project’s efficiency. These features are integral to campus planning; alongside other elements focused on efficient resource use.
Another notable component is the management of construction waste. According to information provided by Rodríguez, more than 75% of the waste generated by the project is being reused through processes that include separation, recycling, and repurposing.
The project is being developed in Antiguo Cuscatlán, within the La Libertad Este area, and aims to become a new hub of corporate activity for the region. The US$50 million investment brings with it job creation and infrastructure that incorporates efficiency standards for energy, water, and waste management.
Rodríguez highlighted that the campus also represents a new identity for BAC Credomatic and noted that the project reflects the growth of the salvadoran banking sector. The 55% completion rate indicates that construction is ongoing as the various areas that will make up the corporate complex take shape.
With US$50 million committed to its construction, the new Campus Corporativo de BAC Credomatic joins the corporate infrastructure projects transforming La Libertad Este. The development combines large-scale investment with job creation and sustainability criteria applied to both the design and the construction process.
