Representatives from 12 bolivian companies visited El Salvador to learn firsthand about the investment, trade, and business development opportunities the country offers for launching new productive projects.
The business mission resulted from the recent establishment of the Cámara Binacional El Salvador–Bolivia, a platform created in april of this year to strengthen economic, trade, and investment relations between the two nations.
During their visit, the businesspeople met with government institutions involved in promoting trade and investment, as well as with business associations and salvadoran companies. These meetings allowed them to understand the country’s business environment, identify opportunities for cooperation, and explore potential business alliances.
The delegation included companies from various sectors, including information technology, food and beverages, specialty coffee, pharmaceuticals, fintech, infrastructure, marketing, legal services, and energy.
The objective was to evaluate possibilities for expansion and collaboration in different areas of the salvadoran economy. Some of the companies expressed interest in starting operations in the country, while others sought to strengthen their market position and expand their reach into new markets, using El Salvador as a strategic platform for the region.

The Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Adriana Mira, met with the members of the business delegation and highlighted the interest shown by bolivian companies in developing investment and business projects in El Salvador.
During the meeting, the official presented the country’s main economic developments, as well as the incentives and competitive advantages available to domestic and foreign investors. She also emphasized factors such as citizen security, legal certainty, and the favorable business climate.
Another topic discussed was the Partial Scope Agreement in force between El Salvador and Bolivia, which offers tariff benefits for certain products and facilitates trade between the two markets.

Claribel Aparicio, representative of the DATEC corporation and the Doing Business International organization, explained that one of the mission’s objectives was to promote the exchange of products, services, and investments between the two nations.
She indicated that the Bolivian business people’s vision was to take advantage of the opportunities offered by El Salvador to strengthen trade ties and use the country as a strategic point of access to markets in Central America and the United States.
The visit was coordinated by the salvadoran diplomatic mission in Bolivia and was accompanied by Ambassador Ana Rivas. The meetings held during the visit brought business people from both countries closer together and opened new possibilities for cooperation, investment, and bilateral economic growth.
