The Corporación de Exportadores de El Salvador (COEXPORT) announced the launch of the fifth edition of its Operadores Confiablescertification support program, an initiative that seeks to strengthen the competitiveness of salvadoran companies by adopting international standards for security, compliance, and trade facilitation.
According to the organization, this new edition will provide support to 20 companies in the export, import, and logistics sectors interested in obtaining Operadores Confiables Certification, granted by the Dirección General de Aduanas de El Salvador.
The program aims to prepare companies to meet the certification requirements through technical assistance and specialized guidance in areas related to supply chain security, risk management, and compliance with customs processes.

Trusted Operator certification is a recognition awarded to companies that demonstrate high levels of compliance with customs regulations and maintain security controls in their international trade operations. This mechanism is part of the efforts to streamline trade and strengthen trust between customs authorities and the private sector.
During the program’s presentation, Luis Córdova, advisor to the Dirección General de Aduanas de El Salvador. explained to participants some of the main benefits that certified companies receive.
Among the advantages is the reduction of physical inspections of goods, which allows for decreased time and costs associated with export and import processes. Companies also have access to priority attention in customs procedures, facilitating more efficient management of their business operations.

Another benefit is the assignment of specialized account executives who provide support and personalized attention to matters related to customs procedures. Furthermore, certified companies can use non-intrusive controls for verifying goods, reducing the need for traditional physical inspections.
Certification also allows access to faster clearance processes, which contributes to improved logistics efficiency and strengthens companies’ competitiveness in international markets.
According to COEXPORT, this program represents an opportunity for more salvadoran companies to strengthen their operational capabilities and adapt to international best practices in foreign trade, security, and regulatory compliance.
With this fifth edition, the trade association continues to promote tools that facilitate the integration of national companies into global markets and contribute to the growth of exports and the country’s logistics sector.
