The Comisión Nacional de la Micro y Pequeña Empresa, (CONAMYPE) announced the signing of an inter-institutional cooperation agreement with the Organismo de Mejora Regulatoria (OMR), with the goal of simplifying procedures, reducing barriers, and improving the environment in which micro and small enterprises (MSMEs) operate in El Salvador.
The agreement aims to facilitate access to the key information that entrepreneurs and business owners need to operate their businesses. Through this alliance, MSMEs will be able to more clearly and quickly understand the requirements, response times, and service points related to various procedures, which will help reduce uncertainty and expedite decision-making.
One of the main focuses of the agreement is improving administrative processes by analyzing user complaints and experiences. This information will allow for the identification of obstacles and the development of concrete proposals to simplify, digitize, and optimize procedures in various public institutions.

According to reports, these changes will result in a reduction of the time business owners spend on bureaucratic procedures, allowing them to focus more on the operation, growth, and consolidation of their businesses.
Another key component is the connection between institutional systems, which will facilitate more efficient information management. This integration will prevent duplication of processes, improve coordination between entities, and offer faster and more effective service to users.
Furthermore, the agreement promotes more transparent, accessible, and results-oriented public administration. Authorities emphasized that this joint effort represents progress in the modernization of the State, prioritizing administrative simplification as a tool to drive economic development.

CONAMYPE emphasized that these actions are aimed at strengthening the business ecosystem, especially for those starting a business or seeking to formalize their operations. By reducing barriers to entry and streamlining processes, it is hoped that more businesses will be able to integrate into the formal sector and generate greater economic opportunities.
Finally, the institution reiterated that entrepreneurs interested in learning more about available services can call 2592-9100 and 7074-7074, or visit the official CONAMYPE website, where they will find guidance and support for developing their businesses.
With this initiative, the Government seeks to consolidate a more favorable environment for MSMEs, recognizing their key role in job creation, economic growth, and the country’s productive development.
