Seven months after the implementation of the Law to Promote Investment Expansion, El Salvador has registered US$503.8 million in pre-qualified new investment expansions, projected to generate 2,246 new direct jobs, according to results reported by Rodrigo Ayala, president of Invest in El Salvador.
The results reflect companies’ interest in expanding their operations in the country and allocating new resources to expansion projects. These investments represent an opportunity to increase economic activity and, at the same time, expand formal employment opportunities for the population.
The US$503.8 million figure corresponds to new expansions that have been pre-qualified during the first seven months since the law came into effect. These resources are intended to expand existing business activities, which can translate into greater operational capacity and growth for companies.

One of the main expected impacts of these expansions is related to the labor market. The projects include 2,246 new direct jobs, meaning that the investments not only represent capital earmarked for company growth, but also new job opportunities directly linked to their operations.
The creation of these jobs can help boost the economy, as increased employment strengthens workers’ incomes and expands their purchasing power, while companies increase their productive and operational capacity.
The Law to Promote Investment Expansion aims precisely to facilitate conditions for companies to expand their operations. In this context, the results presented by Invest in El Salvador show the volume of projects that have advanced in their prequalification process during the first months of the legislation’s implementation.

For the country, the combination of new investments and job creation represents a key indicator of the dynamism of business activity. The projected US$503.8 million is accompanied by the expectation of thousands of new direct jobs, linking business growth with opportunities for workers.
Ayala highlighted these results as part of the continued growth El Salvador is experiencing. Seven months after the law took effect, the pre-qualified figures reflect a business commitment to expanding operations and generating new economic opportunities in the country.
