The Embassy of El Salvador in Mexico held a multi-sector business forum with 25 businesspeople from Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, with the goal of generating new business opportunities, attracting investment, and strengthening economic exchanges between that mexican city and El Salvador.
During the virtual meeting, the businesspeople learned about the opportunities the country offers in sectors such as aerospace, auto parts, manufacturing, services, and tourism—activities with the potential to expand the presence of mexican companies in the salvadoran market and generate new business alliances.
The salvadoran Ambassador to Mexico, Delmy Cañas, highlighted that the country has advantages that can be attractive to investors, including its geostrategic location, connectivity, legal framework, and trade agreements with more than 40 markets. These conditions allow companies based in El Salvador to access different markets and facilitate their business operations. The outreach to business leaders in Ciudad Juárez is particularly relevant given the city’s industrial profile. El Salvador seeks to leverage these connections to promote investment, strategic alliances, and new business ventures.

The goal is for Mexican companies to identify opportunities to expand their production projects and establish operations or commercial relationships with salvadoran companies.
During the forum, the current business climate in El Salvador was also presented, including the progress made in security, a factor that contributes to greater confidence for business activities and investment. Participants were able to ask questions and learn more about the possibilities of developing projects in the country.

The event also facilitated the expansion of contacts with trade associations, clusters, companies, and other private sector stakeholders, creating a foundation for future business and trade exchanges. According to the diplomatic mission, these connections aim to translate into concrete opportunities for investment and economic cooperation between El Salvador and one of Mexico’s most important industrial zones.
Through these types of meetings, El Salvador’s economic diplomacy seeks to connect the country’s offerings with new investors and strengthen trade relations with Mexico, promoting projects that contribute to generating investment, employment, production chains, and greater economic dynamism.
