
A German business mission has arrived in El Salvador to learn about the country’s economic environment and explore investment opportunities in sectors such as tourism, real estate development, and financial technologies.
The delegation is headed by the president of the Internationaler Wirtschaftsrat an organization that promotes the internationalization of small and medium-sized German companies. The visit is being accompanied by El Salvador’s ambassador to Germany, Florencia Vilanova.
The diplomat explained that the mission’s interest arose after learning about the tax incentives, the legal framework for attracting foreign direct investment, and the transformation process underway in the country.

During their visit, the businesspeople will hold meetings with institutions such as INVEST, the Ministerio de Turismo and Secretaría de Innovación as well as representatives from the private sector, to learn about projects and business opportunities. They will also tour the Centro Histórico de San Salvador and Surf City, two of the country’s main development hubs.
The Secretary of Comercio e Inversiones Miguel Kattán, emphasized that El Salvador continues to solidify its position as an attractive destination for business and assured that the government is prepared to support any investment initiatives that may arise.

The president of the International Economic Council noted that participating companies are identifying opportunities in the real estate, tourism, and financial technology sectors. Along these lines, businessman Andreas Leonhardt highlighted the country’s potential for developing new tourism projects.
The visit is part of a strategy promoted by the Cancillería and Embajada de El Salvador in Germany to strengthen the attraction of foreign investment and promote new productive projects in the country.
