The Banco Central de Reserva de El Salvador (BCR) announced that import permits for hazardous substances issued by the Ministerio de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales (MARN) are now entirely electronic, processed through the CIEX 3.0 platform. This initiative is part of efforts to streamline and modernize foreign trade processes in the country.
According to the institution, the process can now be completed digitally using the CIEX 365 3.0 system, available on the official website www.ciexelsalvador.gob.sv. With this update, users can manage import permits more quickly and easily, eliminating in-person procedures and facilitating online transactions.
The BCR emphasized that this system aims to make import-related procedures more efficient, especially for hazardous substances, by enabling comprehensive electronic management within the platform.

The implementation of the system is also part of efforts to strengthen the digitization of services and improve service for users involved in foreign trade.
With this measure, authorities seek to simplify administrative processes and continue promoting technological tools that streamline import operations in El Salvador.
