Liquefied gas prices remain unchanged for this month of march

Written by Karla Gutiérrez

The Dirección General de Energía, Hidrocarburos y Minas (DGEHM) informed about the retail prices of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders in its different presentations for this month of march.

The costs of this LPG have not varied, the institution also indicated that the Government maintains the subsidy of US$8.04 with which it benefits more than one million families.

The 25-pound drum, the most used by salvadorans, will have a price of US$11.13 applying the government subsidy at a cost of US$3.09.

The subsidized price of the 35-pound cylinder will be US$7.46 (maximum sale price US$15.50); the subsidized price of the 20-pound cylinder will be US$0.94 (maximum sale price US$8.98); and the subsidized price of the 10-pound cylinder will be US$0.00 (maximum sale price US$4.61).

Fuel prices are currently experiencing upward pressure due to international factors such as the geopolitical tension generated in the Middle East, which has been increased by the attacks on military and merchandise ships in the Red Sea and in the "Bab el-Mandeb" strait.
