With a view to continue nurturing the ties between El Salvador and the Republic of Korea, the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Adriana Mira, received the director for Central America and the Caribbean of the Foreign Ministry of the Asian nation, Su-Eum Kim.

Thus, in economic matters, opportunities were discussed to continue growing in that market, taking advantage of the benefits offered by the Free Trade Agreement with that destination.

At this meeting, they followed up on issues on the bilateral agenda, with the interest of expanding joint work in areas of common interest.

Likewise, the officials discussed strategic projects in which South Korea is supporting, including the Los Chorros viaduct, an initiative that will contribute to the fluidity of transportation in this sector; at the same time, they raised possibilities for the promotion of other major port and infrastructure projects.

Meanwhile, around cooperation, areas of collaboration were proposed that could be added to the joint work that both parties maintain, in areas such as health, clean energy and works of benefit to the sectors delimited by the Judgment of the International Court of Justice of september 11, 1992.

Additionally, the possibility of holding a meeting of Political Consultations, at vice-ministerial or higher level, with the objective of strengthening dialogue and bilateral relations in the lines of action was also discussed.
