Economics expert, Francisco Santa Cruz Pacheco indicated through his twitter account that, at the close of december 2021, the 7 investment funds active in the market have a net worth of US$403.4 million, higher by US$183.8 million than the figure obtained at the end of 2020.

Such increase has been mainly driven by the new Venture Capital Investment Fund, which was launched in august 2021 and to date has US$165.8 million in assets.

As for the 3 short-term investment funds, they have assets ofUS$162.7 million, US$22.3 million lower than the figure at the end of december 2020.

The expert assures that the figures obtained are due to the fact that investors have started to have participations in longer term instruments, after the pandemic forced them to concentrate more liquidity.

He also pointed out that during 2021 the real estate fund made three placements and currently has assets of US$38.8 million. Finally, the two medium-term investment funds had an increase of approximately 20% in February, closing the year with assets of US$36 million.

In the year 2022, he explained that the market is expected to continue to grow and a factor that will support this growth will be the arrival of Hencorp Gestora de Fondos de Inversión.
