Salvadoran coffee is looking to expand its presence in Paraguay after the Paraguayan company Kings and Queens expressed interest in adding the national coffee to its product portfolio, the Salvadoran Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
As part of this business outreach, the salvadoran diplomatic mission organized a presentation and tasting session to showcase the different coffee varieties produced in El Salvador and their characteristics to the company.
Kings and Queens imports and distributes high-quality coffee in Paraguay and counts hotel chains and restaurants among its clients. Their interest represents an opportunity for salvadoran coffee to reach new establishments and consumers in that market.
During the event, the Pacamara, Cuscatleco, Bourbon, and Pacas varieties were presented, allowing participants to experience the different aromas, flavors, and sensory profiles that distinguish coffee produced in El Salvador.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted that these types of meetings aim to generate business opportunities and strengthen ties between businesspeople and representatives of the coffee sector in both countries, with a view to finalizing future trade agreements.
The cupping session was conducted jointly and included the virtual participation of Mauricio Sansivirini, president of the Instituto Salvadoreño del Café (ISC),who explained the characteristics of the varieties presented during the event.
This exchange also represents an opportunity to diversify the export destinations for salvadoran coffee and increase its presence in international markets, especially in segments interested in higher-quality, value-added products.
With this initiative, El Salvador seeks to capitalize on the interest of paraguayan buyers to expand coffee sales in that country and generate new opportunities for producers and other stakeholders in the national coffee supply chain.
