The Superintendencia del Sistema Financiero (SSF) has announced a new layer of disbursements for members of Cooperativa Santa Victoria de R.L. (COSAVI), enabling withdrawals of up to $35,000.
According to Superintendent Evelyn Gracias, payments will be available starting january 14, 2025 at the agency at Gabriela Mistral street and 29 north avenue, in San Salvador.
The hours established for withdrawals are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Gracias pointed out that this new advance will allow more than 82.4% of those affected to recover their savings, surpassing the 80.5% initially estimated.
In addition, the superintendent reminded that members whose funds had already been released in previous stages and who have not yet withdrawn them can also go to the agency to carry out their procedures. The refunds are carried out according to the recovery of the funds, which had been placed in credits by the cooperative.
The SSF also urged members to keep informed through the official channels of the institution and COSAVI, which is currently under the administration of the superintendency. This measure seeks to provide greater transparency and security to savers in the process of recovering their funds.
