The Cámara de Comercio e Industria de El Salvador (Camarasal), La Unión branch, announced the 13th Seafood Festival, a gastronomic event that seeks to boost the local economy and promote tourism in the department. The festival will be held on sunday, april 13, at the La Unión Municipal Pier, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with free admission.

During the press conference, the president of the branch, Carolina Ortez, emphasized that this event “has become a key platform to boost the local economy, highlight our gastronomic richness, and strengthen tourism in our department”. The initiative not only attracts visitors but also represents an important business opportunity for local entrepreneurs, producers, and restaurants.
With over a decade of history, the Seafood Festival is one of the most anticipated activities in the region. It offers a unique culinary experience that combines seafood flavors with the talent of local chefs, in a family-friendly atmosphere and with unparalleled views of the Gulf of Fonseca, making it a high-impact economic and tourist attraction.

This event also strengthens La Unión’s cultural identity and directly contributes to the revitalization of local commerce. The participation of businesses, brands, and strategic partners expands the festival’s reach, generating temporary employment, increasing sales, and strengthening commercial networks within the department.
The event is supported by the La Unión Sur Municipal Government and various companies such as Fifi’s Restaurant, DEFAM de R. L., Bliss Boutique, AES EEO, HopeBlue, INMOTERRA, and other partners.
