dinero_admin More than 2,000 Sociedades de Acciones Simplificadas (SAS) were created in El Salvador last year, 90% of which belong to micro and small enterprises. This progress is part of the implementation of the National Policy for the Economic Integration of Microenterprises, promoted by the Government.
The president of Conamype, Paul Steiner, pointed out that the policy has generated favorable conditions for business formalization. One of the most important achievements has been the simplification of the process for incorporating SAS, allowing the legal status to be obtained in less than two hours.
This mechanism streamlines the registration of businesses with the Ministry of Finance, ISSS and AFP, guaranteeing speed and security. In this way, entrepreneurs can operate legally and access benefits that allow them to grow and consolidate in the market.
Another key result has been the creation of the Superintendencia del Registro Sanitario (SRS), which brings together various institutions to facilitate sanitary permits for entrepreneurs in the food sector. Thanks to this effort, an average of 100 sanitary cards are issued every week.
Steiner explained that the inter-institutional strategy allows entrepreneurs to access Conamype training and obtain their permits at no additional cost. Fosalud covers laboratory tests, eliminating economic barriers to formalization.
The Government of El Salvador continues to support business development with initiatives that strengthen the family economy and generate new opportunities for salvadoran entrepreneurs.
