The Sistema de la Integración Centroamericana (SICA) continues to strengthen the region’s development through initiatives that generate new opportunities for growth. Among them, the training of professionals is key to improving decision making and cooperation among member countries.

One of the most outstanding strategies is the Diploma on the Central American Integration System, which in its fifth edition has graduated 123 participants from different countries. This program seeks to enhance the knowledge and leadership of key officials for regional integration. Professionals from El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, and the Dominican Republic, as well as from countries outside the region, such as France, Mexico and Brazil, have participated in the program. This demonstrates the international interest in the SICA integration model.

Capacity building through this type of initiative allows for better management of joint projects in trade, security, and sustainable development. It also prepares public servants to face regional challenges with greater efficiency and strategic vision.

Training, knowledge sharing and the implementation of best practices within SICA are pillars to ensure effective integration. These actions drive economic growth, cooperation between countries and the generation of new opportunities for Central American citizens.

The Government of President Nayib Bukele supports these efforts, betting on the professionalization of officials and the strengthening of institutions. With this, it seeks to consolidate a more competitive and united region for the benefit of its long-term development.
