The Vice President of the Republic, Felix Ulloa, attended the General Assembly of Members 2025 of the Cámara de Comercio e Industria de El Salvador (Camarasal), where the new Board of Directors was elected for the period 2025-2026. In the vote, businesswoman Leticia Escobar was reelected as president of the association, reaffirming her leadership in the business sector.

During the session, Escobar highlighted the importance of collaboration between private enterprise, government, and academia under the Triple Helix model. “This approach fosters innovation and economic growth, so having the vice president present allows us to directly externalize the needs of the sector”, he said.
At the event, Camarasal presented the document “Building Together: Inputs for the Economic Development of El Salvador 2025-2029”, with eleven key proposals to strengthen investment, competitiveness, and sustainable growth in the country. Vice President Ulloa received the report on behalf of the government.

Leticia Escobar, who has been associated with Camarasal for more than a decade, reaffirmed her commitment to the modernization of the association. Her second term will focus on strengthening training, counseling, and business representation, ensuring that the organization continues to be a pillar of support for its more than 2,200 members.
During the Assembly, 76 new members were sworn in and the trajectory of 195 companies that have been members of Camarasal for periods of between 5 and 90 years was recognized, highlighting their commitment to business development in El Salvador.

With this election and the support of the private sector, Camarasal reaffirms its role as a key player in promoting free trade, innovation, and competitiveness, working together with the government for the economic growth of the country.
