Inhabitants of San Salvador capital, Ayutuxtepeque, Mejicanos, Cuscatancingo and Ciudad Delgado gave him resounding support to continue working tirelessly and transfer all his experience to the new districts that will make up the municipality.

"I receive with humility this new victory and I thank God for allowing me the opportunity to continue building democracy, accompanied by the most winning party in El Salvador, which is my home, my party Nuevas ideas, led by our president Nayib Bukele, whom I thank for his confidence. Today I can say again, mission accomplished", said Durán.

Once again, Mayor Mario Durán made history in the municipal elections by obtaining the support of the citizens, who applauded his excellent management by carrying out major projects together with the central government, such as the revitalization of the Historic Center.

"We not only surpassed the percentage achieved with respect to my opponent in the previous election, today we have doubled it and we have won each of the districts that make up San Salvador Centro. Thank you for the confidence of the salvadoran people", he said.

The mayor has indicated that he will replicate the successful projects of the capital city, starting May 1st and that he will start working on the main needs of the new districts, after conducting technical diagnostics.

"As of today, our task becomes bigger and our responsibilities as well, but we will not fail, as we have not failed here in the capital. All the inhabitants of San Salvador Centro can expect the best waste collection system because we have the right technicians in the mayor's office and they are in the disposition to give coverage to all the spaces and work in function of the salvadoran people", he said.

Durán assured that his new administration will implement urgent projects such as the installation of 17 thousand streetlights in priority areas of the new municipality, expansion of the coverage of the Sívar Seguro Video Surveillance System, increase of beneficiaries in programs for children and youth and the rescue of public spaces, to generate and return the centers of the cities and urban centers to the salvadoran families.
