TSE reminds to verify the list of newly registered and purged voters for 2024 elections

Written by Miguel Crespín

The electoral roll that will be used in next year's elections, continues to receive modifications, so the Tribunal Supremo Electoral (TSE), reminds citizens to be aware of its changes.

In the list shared by the electoral institution, young people who reached the age of majority before july 1 until december 31, 2022 are added. It is worth remembering that the current electoral roll will be closed until august 7, so those who obtain their DUI after that date and have not requested their document in advance, will not be able to participate in the elections of 2024.

On the side of the purges, there are cases of death, citizens who renounce to the salvadoran citizenship and people who by judicial sentence are no longer in their mental faculties; so their relatives are also asked to review the shared data.

The current information can be found in the social networks of the court, or on its website https://www.tse.gob.sv/. Currently the collegiate body is working on training more people on the processes to be carried out in 2024.
