For the specialist, there are new opportunities in the market such as blue oceans, which are defined as untapped market spaces, with the creation of demand and opportunities for highly profitable growth. She explained that in blue oceans, competition loses its validity because the rules of the game do not yet exist, while at the other extreme, there are red oceans that represent all existing industries.

Precisely, Davivienda seeks that the representatives of these companies can identify opportunities in the market, create strategies and execute plans that will lead them to the success of their businesses. "In Banco Davivienda we have important reviews that demonstrate our work and progress in favor of women and gender equity. We work permanently to bring valuable programs that, in addition to ensuring the advancement of women in different environments, allow us to offer them a comprehensive range of financial products and services according to their needs. Today we continue on the path of guiding them to create strategies that impact their businesses, but we also continue to encourage them to move forward, increasing their economic empowerment, building wealth and above all a great example of leadership", said Peggy Girón, director of Operations and Technology Banco Davivienda Salvadoreño.

Davivienda has important programs to benefit women. An example of this is the "Mi Empresa Mujer" program, which was launched in 2022 and seeks to leverage businesses led by the female sector.

Through the "Mi Empresa Mujer" program, a comprehensive offer of financial products and services designed according to their needs is made available, under special conditions, with the aim of leveraging the businesses of small and medium-sized companies and providing tools for efficient management, enhancing digital commerce through Pay Davivienda solutions allowing businesses to allow their customers to make easy, safe and convenient purchases, either through websites, applications, social networks, via telephone or, physically, with the contactless payment method.

Among these options, the Payment with QR stands out, which allows its customers, users of APP Davivienda El Salvador and Daviplata, as well as users of the mobile applications of the member banks of the Serfinsa Network, to make purchases in their stores by scanning QR codes.

The subsidiary Davivienda Seguros, thinking of products specially designed for this segment, so that women feel supported and motivated to achieve their goals, offers Seguro de Vida Mujer and Seguro Multiplan Mujer Emprendedora, through which it seeks to protect the assets of the company against material damages or fortuitous cases of the insured; additionally, being a client of Davivienda Seguros, they get special discounts on clinical laboratory tests and medical imaging with our allies: Centro Médico Escalón and Centro de Radiología Médica CERME.

Comprehensive offer backed by a warranty program

In 2021, Davivienda joined the call to action of the Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris, being one of the 12 private companies to assume the commitment to deepen investments in countries of the Northern Triangle, specifically in promoting financial inclusion, expanding the use of digital financial products and services, as well as facilitating access to financing for SMEs led by women.

In the same year, Banco Davivienda Salvadoreño and the United States Development Finance Corporation (DFC), with support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), joined forces to facilitate access to financing for small and medium-size enterprises (SMEs) in El Salvador, with a special focus on women SMEs.

To this end, DFC and Davivienda have signed a new guarantee agreement to benefit their SME clients. With this new agreement, Davivienda El Salvador has US$31 million available to guarantee productive financing for SMEs, making it the largest guarantee program in Central America administered by a private financial institution.

The bank will allocate 60% to small and medium-size enterprises led by women, seeking to ensure that women entrepreneurs remain in the market, generating a labor force and increasing their economic empowerment, thus stimulating economic reactivation and gender equity. Traditional SMEs will also benefit from greater access to financing, in accordance with the financial institution's eligibility criteria.

During the masterclass, in addition to the talk given to the attendees, awards were presented to women entrepreneurs from various sectors of the country. This award recognizes the trajectory and participation of each of the representatives of 10 companies selected for their leadership shown throughout 2022.
