To strengthen the economy of micro and small enterprises (MSEs) in the textile and apparel sector, the Business Roundtable “Global Connection: Mission El Salvador” was held.
The event was organized by the Comisión Nacional de la Micro y Pequeña Empresa (CONAMYPE), with the support of FANTEL and ImpactHub, and brought together salvadoran and Colombian companies in a space designed to generate business opportunities and strategic alliances.

The activity took place at the Centro de Innovación Digital (CIED), where 10 salvadoran MSEs from the SMODA Cluster interacted with 10 Colombian SMEs in 15-minute timed sessions. The format allowed salvadoran companies to present their products, catalogs and commercial proposals, in order to explore export opportunities and expand their networks, thus promoting the internationalization of their businesses.

This meeting represents a concrete commitment to boost the economy of the fashion sector through regional coordination. The strategy seeks not only to generate immediate sales, but also to open sustainable marketing channels in international markets, fostering a more resilient and diversified economy for MSEs.

During the event, each colombian company set up an exhibition table with products and raw materials, facilitating a direct and enriching exchange. The salvadoran MSEs were prepared with physical samples, printed materials and digital tools, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and willingness to establish lasting business relationships.

The initiative is part of a broader regional effort to position El Salvador as a benchmark in sustainable fashion. With the support of ImpactHub, present in more than 100 cities around the world, these types of activities promote an innovative economic ecosystem, with a social and environmental focus that enhances the growth of small businesses.
