As part of the Government’s efforts to support the productive reintegration of the returned population, the Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores and the Cámara Salvadoreña de Tecnologías de Información y Comunicaciones (CASATIC)) developed a bootcamp specialized in digital sales aimed at 35 women entrepreneurs.
The training, entitled “Growing with digital sales and customer optimization to sell more”, was designed to provide participants with practical knowledge in digital tools, marketing, and modern sales techniques, to increase the competitiveness of their businesses in the current environment. This initiative is part of the Transforming Lives program, which promotes the comprehensive and sustainable reintegration of returnees into the country.
During the training, participants acquired key technological skills to optimize their sales strategies, improve their presence in social networks, and generate greater commercial impact. In addition, the course incorporated personal and socio-emotional development components to strengthen their overall well-being.
One of the beneficiaries was María Isabel Escobar, originally from San Salvador, who leads the business “Helados artesanales Mary”. She thanked the support received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and highlighted the value of the knowledge acquired. “This digital marketing workshop helps us to better promote our advertisements and promotions, which allows us to reach more customers and increase sales”, she said.
María Isabel also highlighted the support provided through the Semillas project, implemented with Italian cooperation, which allowed her to access seed capital to boost her business. “After returning home, one feels lost. But this support has helped me to move forward and dream big. Now I want to have a store and generate employment with more ice cream and chocobanano delivery carts”, she said.
This effort reaffirms the commitment of the Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores to strengthen the capacities of returnees, facilitating their economic integration through strategic alliances with the technology sector and international cooperation programs.
