At the III Regional Housing Forum in Mexico, the Ministry of Housing of El Salvador announced a collaboration with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to develop a green housing program. This study seeks to promote the production of sustainable social housing, integrating practices and technologies that reduce environmental impact and promote greener development in the real estate sector.
During the event, the Minister of Housing, Michelle Sol, highlighted the progress and challenges faced by El Salvador in the housing sector. She emphasized that the real recovery in the sector began with the security measures implemented by the government, which not only stabilized the economy and the finances of the real estate sector, but also laid the foundations for sustained and balanced growth.
Sol, detailed several achievements, including the recovery of urban corpses for reuse, the revitalization of public spaces that now benefit families, and the restitution of basic rights such as freedom of mobility.
