Within the framework of the “MSME Linkages for Decarbonization” project, part of the European Commission’s AL-INVEST Green program, the “Ilopango Network: Connect and Grow” B2B networking event was held in collaboration with the Fundación Empresarial para la Acción Social (FUNDEMAS) and the Cámara Alemana Salvadoreña de Comercio e Industria (AHK)
The event aimed to provide business networking opportunities that facilitate access to new markets, generate more clients, and increase sales. This is part of a project that seeks to promote low-carbon economies through the efficient use of resources in the recycling value chain, with a focus on MSMEs. It also aims to expand market access for the recycling value chain and MSMEs in the tourism sector, promoting increased sales and job creation in these sectors.

The event featured three presentations: 1) Digital Citizenship by Verónica Guerrero of FUNDEMAS; 2) Artificial Intelligence applied to business marketing to attract customers and increase sales by Vilma de Cobos of FUNDEMAS; and 3) Products and services for MSMEs by Banco Agrícola.
Additionally, over 100 B2B meetings took place between various MSMEs located in Ilopango (hotels, restaurants, bars, microenterprises, and others) and nine participating organizations, including Banco Agrícola, ASAGUITUR, UCA, USAM, FUSAI, EcoBlitz, Banco Atlántida, RGB Media, and the Municipality of San Salvador East (tourism, employment, and entrepreneurship).

This space, in addition to fostering connections related to capacity building, technical assistance in legal, administrative, marketing, and procedural matters, also enabled more than 50 MSMEs to obtain information on financing.
The AL INVEST program continues to solidify its position as an engine for sustainable development in the business sector, contributing to the transition toward more responsible and resilient practices in El Salvador.
