With the goal of reaffirming its purpose of brightening the daily lives of all people, Unilever, a global leader in fast-moving consumer goods, donated over 350 tons of products in 2025 to various Food Banks in the Central America and Caribbean region, benefiting more than 395,000 people.
In the case of El Salvador, during 2025, the company contributed over 50 tons of food and essential products, directly benefiting more than 41,000 people, as part of its ongoing commitment to generate a positive impact in communities.

“At Unilever, we firmly believe that the way we achieve results is just as important as the results themselves. Therefore, under the purpose of brightening the daily lives of all people, we will continue strengthening our contribution to Food Banks. These actions give meaning to what we do, guide our decisions, and reaffirm our genuine commitment to people, the planet, and sustainable progress,” stated Melissa Montalvo, Corporate Affairs Manager for Unilever in Central America and the Caribbean.

Food Banks are non-profit organizations that provide food and essential products to people in vulnerable and impoverished situations in the countries where they operate. Currently, there are hundreds of Food Banks operating worldwide, adapting their work to the local reality of each location.
“The vast majority of our donations are channeled through Food Banks because they are a reliable entity that guarantees transparency, traceability, and a real social impact. They also have the experience and infrastructure needed to carry out safe and efficient distribution, reaching those who need it most and helping reduce waste,” added Unilever’s representative.

Since 2020, Unilever has donated over 3,000 tons of food and essential products, benefiting more than two million people in countries such as Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Panama, and the Dominican Republic.
“We are deeply grateful to Unilever for the support it provides. Through its donations, we are able to bring well-being and hope to thousands of Salvadorans in vulnerable situations. This partnership allows us to improve lives, strengthen communities, and protect our planet,” said María Inés Olivares, General Director of the Food Bank of El Salvador.

Through this type of initiative, Unilever maintains consistency between what it says and what it does, honoring the trust of consumers, employees, partners, and communities, and contributing sustainably to improving the quality of life of the most vulnerable groups in the countries where it operates.
