
Salvadoran coffee continues to gain international recognition, this time with its arrival in the state of Georgia, in the United States, as part of promotional efforts spearheaded by the Salvadoran Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the Ministry, the Consulate General of El Salvador in Duluth participated in the inauguration of the Golden Drops coffee shop, located in the Carlos Museum on the Emory University campus in Atlanta. This new space will offer visitors salvadoran coffee, highlighting the quality and recognition the product has achieved in international markets.
The initiative is part of the Economic Diplomacy Strategy, through which the country seeks to position its flagship products abroad and open new business opportunities for national producers. In this context, coffee is consolidating its position as one of El Salvador’s main ambassadors to the world.

During the inauguration, Consul General Mónica Marín expressed her satisfaction with the opening of this space, emphasizing that Salvadoran coffee represents a testament to the country’s quality and tradition. She also emphasized the importance of these types of initiatives in bringing salvadoran culture closer to international audiences.
In her remarks, she also noted that march 23rd will be National Pacamara Day, celebrating an emblematic variety originating in El Salvador, created in 1950 from a cross between the Paca and Maragogipe varieties. This bean is recognized for its unique characteristics and high quality, making it one of the most highly valued within the national coffee production.

The consular representative highlighted that, at this café, visitors can enjoy a complete experience centered around salvadoran coffee, not only as a beverage, but also as a cultural and artisanal expression. In this regard, she emphasized that the country’s coffee invites you to savor it slowly, appreciating its attributes and its production process.
The event was attended by university authorities and other special guests, who were able to learn about and taste salvadoran coffee at this new promotional location.
With this opening, El Salvador continues to strengthen its presence in the international coffee market, bringing its identity, tradition, and quality to new spaces and consumers in the United States.
