The Turicentro Apulo reopened its doors to a large influx of visitors, as its renovated facilities have captivated the public and, in addition, it maintains its affordable prices, positioning it as one of the most visited destinations this Holy Week.

Just two days into the holiday period, the Apulo Recreational Park was already experiencing massive attendance, with spaces practically full from early morning. During the previous weekend, the park was overflowing with visitors, both national and international, reflecting the high interest in enjoying this destination near the capital.

Entire families, groups of friends, children, and young people enjoyed the swimming pools, green areas, and rest areas, creating a dynamic and enthusiastic atmosphere. The combination of recreation, nature, and accessibility has made Apulo one of the top options for vacations without leaving the country.

One of the highlights is that prices remain unchanged, with an entrance fee of US$1.50 for Salvadorans and US$3 for foreigners, while children under seven and senior citizens enter free. This price stability has allowed more people to enjoy the tourist center without straining their budgets.

Safety has also been a key factor in the high visitor numbers. According to the Instituto Salvadoreño de Turismo (ISTU), the park has a permanent security presence, lifeguards, and visitor services, allowing visitors to move around with peace of mind and enjoy themselves without problems.

ISTU President Eny Aguiñada emphasized that the park has become a safe and family-friendly space where Salvadorans and foreigners alike can enjoy Lake Ilopango in optimal conditions.
The improvements carried out by the Ministry of Public Works of El Salvador have completely renovated the park, incorporating areas for food, rest, sports, and water recreation. The iconic lighthouse remains one of the main attractions, offering a panoramic view of the lake, considered the largest body of water in the country.

In addition, traditional vendors continue to offer their products and cuisine, contributing to the area’s identity and vibrancy.

Open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., the Apulo tourist center stands out not only for its renovated infrastructure but also for its high demand, affordable prices, and safe conditions—factors that explain why, even before the official start of Holy Week, it was already completely full of visitors.
