
As part of Entrepreneur Month 2026, the Cámara de Comercio e Industria de El Salvador (Camarasal) held the Master Class and Workshop “AI for SMEs: From Theory to Action,” a day focused on strengthening the technological capabilities of business owners, entrepreneurs, and business leaders through the use of artificial intelligence (AI).
The activity was part of the commemoration of Día del Empresario Salvadoreño, celebrated every june 18, and aimed to introduce small and medium-sized enterprises to practical tools that will allow them to improve their productivity, optimize processes, and strengthen decision-making in an increasingly digital business environment.
During the event, participants learned about concrete applications of artificial intelligence for different business areas, with the goal of facilitating its integration into daily operations and leveraging its benefits to increase competitiveness.
Leticia Escobar, president of Camarasal, emphasized that the salvadoran business sector has demonstrated a consistent capacity for adaptation in the face of various challenges, and that the current challenge is to incorporate technology as an ally for growth.

“Salvadoran business owners are resilient and have demonstrated, through the years and challenges, their ability to adapt. And now, faced with technological challenges, we want to provide them with the knowledge and strategies to use technology so that it does not hinders but rather propels their businesses forward”, she said.
As part of the commemorative activities, Camarasal also developed a series of specialized webinars to expand knowledge about the use of artificial intelligence in the business sector.
The first of these, “AI in your company: What the law already requires and you can’t ignore”, addressed the legal and regulatory aspects that companies must consider when implementing artificial intelligence tools in their operations.

Subsequently, the webinar “From Data to Investment: The Strategic Use of Artificial Intelligence for Business Expansion” was held, explaining how technology can become a tool for identifying growth opportunities, improving data analysis, and strengthening companies’ business strategies.
With these initiatives, Camarasal reaffirmed its commitment to supporting salvadoran companies in their digital transformation process, promoting training opportunities that allow them to incorporate new technologies, innovate, and remain competitive in an increasingly dynamic market.
