The U.S. Embassy in El Salvador commemorated the tenth anniversary of the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI), a program that promotes leadership and entrepreneurship in the region and recognized nearly 80 Salvadorans who have been part of this network since 2016.
The event was led by the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy, Naomi Fellows, who highlighted the impact that program participants have generated in their communities through projects focused on innovation, entrepreneurship, and collaboration.

According to the diplomatic mission, over the past decade, YLAI has provided training opportunities, exchange of experiences, and capacity building to young entrepreneurs, enabling them to develop initiatives with economic and social impact in their countries.
In El Salvador, nearly 80 professionals have participated in the program since 2016, forming a network of leaders who continue to promote innovative solutions and the growth of their communities.

The embassy noted that the participants’ stories reflect how entrepreneurship and leadership can become tools to drive local development, strengthen cooperation, and generate new opportunities.
With this commemoration, the U.S. Embassy reaffirmed its support for programs aimed at strengthening entrepreneurial talent and fostering knowledge exchange among leaders in the region.
