Housing minister Michelle Sol announced that the government has completed the process of granting the construction permit for the Fortaleza Photovoltaic Plant, a project with a US$2.3 million investment to be developed in Acajutla, Sonsonate.
With the authorization now in place, the investment can move into the execution phase, boosting a project aimed at strengthening renewable energy generation in the country and promoting more sustainable development.

According to the minister, in addition to expanding clean energy production capacity, the plant will contribute to reducing polluting emissions, favoring an energy matrix with less environmental impact.
The investment will also influence the local economy, as the project is expected to generate jobs and stimulate economic activity in the Acajutla area during its construction and operation.

The minister highlighted that the issuance of the permit reflects the progress made in facilitating the execution of investment projects in the country, allowing initiatives of this kind to develop with greater legal certainty and within the corresponding regulatory framework.
With an investment of US$2.3 million, the Fortaleza Photovoltaic Plant joins the energy infrastructure projects that seek to strengthen economic development and expand the participation of renewable energies in El Salvador.
