Acres Inmobiliaria laid the first stone this wednesday for Condado Quetzal, a housing development representing a US$45 million investment and encompassing the construction of more than 900 homes, consolidating itself as a new private investment to expand the planned housing supply in El Salvador.
Located in Quezaltepeque, La Libertad Norte, the project has been conceived as a comprehensive community that will combine housing solutions with green areas, a nature reserve, bike paths, a clubhouse, commercial spaces, coworking spaces, recreational areas, and areas for spiritual reflection, under a model aimed at strengthening the quality of life of salvadoran families.
The minister of Housing, Michelle Sol; representatives of public institutions; business leaders; strategic partners; and special guests participated in the ceremony.
For Oscar Bonilla, CEO of Acres Inmobiliaria, laying the first stone represents much more than the start of construction. “Today we are not only laying the first stone of a housing project; we are planting the seeds of a vision for the future. We believe that a community should offer much more than just housing: it should create spaces where families can live together, grow, and build their future”.

Bonilla explained that Condado Quetzal is Acres Inmobiliaria’s first real estate development and reflects the business group’s vision of contributing to national development across various economic sectors.
“El Salvador needs more companies willing to build, pave the way, and generate opportunities. Every well-developed project has a direct impact on people’s quality of life and on the country’s growth”.
Javier Bonilla, CEO of JOB Constructora, ACRES’ sister company, emphasized that the project’s execution will be supported by rigorous technical planning and high construction standards.
“We are incorporating construction processes that will allow us to improve quality, optimize execution times, and respond more efficiently to the growing demand for housing in the country”.

Javier Bonilla explained that Condado Quetzal will incorporate modern urban infrastructure, including underground wiring, a bike path of approximately two kilometers, a nature reserve integrated into the project, commercial areas, and spaces intended for community life, including a temple and a shopping center.
He said that during construction, the project is expected to generate around 300 direct jobs and more than 200 indirect jobs, while subsequent phases of development will incorporate new construction systems aimed at improving the efficiency and quality of the homes.
During the ceremony, the minister of Housing, Michelle Sol, emphasized the importance of continuing to promote investments that strengthen access to housing and support the country’s orderly growth.
“The main tool for urban development is security. Today we can bring opportunities, investment, and housing projects to territories where buildings were previously unthinkable”.
The government representative also highlighted the social relevance and significance of this project for salvadorans.

“Today we are not only laying the first stone of a project; we are opening the door for hundreds of salvadoran families to fulfill their dream of owning a home, building equity, and offering a better future to their children”.
The minister also highlighted Acres’ work in investing in the country. “I want to recognize companies like Acres Inmobiliaria for believing in El Salvador, investing, generating employment, and contributing to expanding the housing options for salvadoran families”.
Condado Quetzal offers homes starting at US$45,988, which can be purchased through financing from the Fondo Social para la Vivienda (FSV).
The project incorporates an urban design concept that integrates modern infrastructure, public spaces, recreation, and commerce, reaffirming Acres Inmobiliaria’s commitment to the development of planned communities that contribute to economic growth and the well-being of salvadoran families.
