Plaza Futura, the commercial area of the World Trade Center San Salvador and part of one of the country’s leading mixed-use complexes, received the Sello Family Friendlytoday, becoming the first mixed-use complex to obtain this accreditation and the tenth private company nationwide to achieve this recognition.
With this accreditation, the private sector continues to integrate into the National Strategy “El Salvador Family Friendly,” an initiative led by First Lady Gabriela de Bukele, which promotes the adaptation of spaces and services aimed at strengthening family life, fostering safe environments, and ensuring care focused on the well-being of people of all ages.
“The El Salvador Family Friendly strategy is moving forward thanks to the commitment of those who believe that the best spaces are those where families can feel welcome and children can fully enjoy every experience. Today, Plaza Futura joins this national effort, contributing to building a country where every shared moment strengthens family bonds”, Marianna Montes, Head of International Affairs and Cooperation at the Office of the First Lady, commented:

This progress has been possible thanks to the transformation in security, which has allowed for the recovery of public spaces; today, El Salvador is considered the safest country in the Western Hemisphere, allowing families to freely enjoy their surroundings.
Plaza Futura positions itself as a meeting point where executives, residents, businesspeople, and national and international visitors and tourists converge daily. Its design integrates accessible and inclusive spaces so that families can share, enjoy, and experience moments in a safe and welcoming environment.
As part of its commitment to family well-being, Plaza Futura offers lactation rooms equipped with private areas, armchairs, recliners, changing tables, sinks, and sanitizing stations, in a safe, hygienic, and climate-controlled environment designed to provide comfort for mothers and babies.

It also offers modern and pet-friendly areas, with play spaces for children and teenagers, complemented by a permanent schedule of activities that includes workshops, cultural events, live music, and wellness experiences, encouraging the active participation of the whole family and promoting spaces for meeting and socializing.

In terms of security, it has protocols that guarantee the peace of mind of its visitors, including video surveillance, evacuation route signage, fire extinguishers, and personnel trained in first aid. It also offers universal accessibility, access ramps, and support services such as wheelchairs.
“We want everyone who visits Plaza Futura to find a place to share with family and friends, enjoy new experiences, and create lasting memories”, said Ely Madrid, Real Estate Marketing manager.

Receiving the Sello Family Friendly represents a competitive advantage for companies, strengthening their positioning and projection both nationally and internationally. This accreditation not only recognizes compliance with standards geared towards family well-being but also generates greater trust among users, increases visitor preference, and opens opportunities to attract new market segments.
The Family Friendly strategy, led by First Lady Gabriela de Bukele and implemented by the Crecer Juntos Institute in conjunction with the Ministry of Tourism, marks a turning point in how the country welcomes families, boosting the arrival of international visitors and promoting spaces for salvadoran families to gather.
