Starting today, BAC will allow cardholders to add their cards to Google Wallet for simple and secure contactless payments through their Android and WearOS devices.
BAC credit and debit card users in El Salvador will be able to add themselves to Google Wallet, allowing users to make transactions anywhere contactless payments are accepted. Cardholders will also be able to store loyalty cards, boarding passes, and event tickets in their Google Wallet.
Google Wallet enables secure payments, thanks to its multiple security measures in addition to those already in place on BAC’s Mastercard and VISA cards. Security and privacy are built into every part of the Wallet, with the actual card numbers remaining private, keeping users and issuers protected.
Also, if the device is lost or stolen, the “Find My Device” feature can be used to lock it, secure it with a new password, or erase all personal information instantly.
“At BAC we are committed to innovation, so we are excited to be able to take this important step with the incorporation of Google Pay as one of the contactless payment services offered by our credit and debit cards in El Salvador. This service allows our customers to continue making their transactions easily, quickly and securely from Google Wallet. With this type of alliances, we continue to generate triple value impacts on all our customers, who we invite to incorporate this new feature that we are proud to announce today”, said Martha Bolaños, director of Market and Sustainability of BAC El Salvador.
To start using Google Wallet, download the app from the Google Play Store today.
