In the ranking of the 18 countries with the highest and lowest inflation in Latin America, El Salvador is among the last positions with an inflation of 0.86% so far in 2024, according to Bloomberg's economic portal.

According to the ranking, Argentina is the country with the highest inflation in LATAM with an elevation rate of 65%, although the South American country has managed to lower its annual inflation, it is still at the top of the list.

In second place is Venezuela with 10.9% inflation, followed by Colombia with 3.34%, Uruguay 2.84%, Paraguay 2.8%, Chile 2.2%, Nicaragua 1.96%, Ecuador 1.79%, Honduras 1.69% Peru 1.54%, Mexico 1.48, Bolivia 1.31%.

In 14th place is El Salvador with an inflation rate of 0.86% followed by Guatemala with 0.77%, Dominican Republic with 0.68%, Panama with 0.59% and the last on the list is Costa Rica with an inflation rate of 0.01%.

To make these measurements, the inflation rates of the GDP deflator (Gross Domestic Product) and the Consumer Price Index (CPI) have been considered.
