The Corporación de Exportadores de El Salvador (COEXPORT) was present at the inauguration ceremony of the President for a new term that will run from 2024 to 2029, through the President of COEXPORT, Silvia Cuellar, recognizing the work done in the previous period and expressing positive expectations for the new five-year period for exports.

Among the achievements in security, COEXPORT highlighted the importance of freedom of movement and tranquility for the population, businesses and investors. It also highlighted progress in specific areas such as trade facilitation, which has improved logistics for the transport of goods, and the Reliable Operator Certification, which streamlines border crossings.

In addition, COEXPORT mentioned the improvement of important laws for productive and investment competitiveness, the opening of trade councils that have boosted export opportunities, and improvements in infrastructure such as ports, airports and roads.

COEXPORT also reiterated its commitment to continue supporting these and other initiatives that are developed for the benefit of exports, with the objective of improving the quality of life of salvadorans. The expansion of the export sector creates direct employment in export industries (such as manufacturing, agriculture and services) and indirect employment in related sectors (such as transportation and logistics).

Exports are a vital engine for El Salvador's economic development, fostering growth, job creation, economic diversification and the country's global competitiveness. They also generate foreign exchange earnings, which are essential to finance imports, pay foreign debts, and strengthen the country's international reserves.
