Minister of Labor announced the creation of 12,000 new jobs to benefit the population

The minister of Labor, Rolando Castro, in the presence of Claudia Ibáñez, president of Amchan and Beatriz Peralta, manager of Sykes, announced the creation of 12 thousand new jobs for the benefit of the salvadoran population.

The creation of the new 12,000 decent jobs announced by the head of Labor, will benefit the salvadoran population with the objective of providing opportunities so that they can support their families and help the economy.

"Another fact that should be clear, in normal times where there are no national variables that affect us, or pandemic, have managed to produce between 9 thousand and 11 thousand jobs a year are historical data of previous governments ", said the head of Labor.

The minister pointed out that there is no limit in the generation of employment, he stressed that there are no barriers on the issue of age and that it will be from 18 years of age as the law stipulates.

"There is no age limit in the generation of jobs that is now being announced, when there is a stigma in El Salvador, that young people must have experience, there is no barrier in the age issue, it would be from 18 years old as the law stipulates", he said.

He also said, that in a matter of hours the platform will be available, so that the population can enter and after that apply, he also said that they can also do it through the work windows and through the call center 130.

"The Ministry of Labor, through labor intermediation, and its different platforms, will make available data banks so that people who meet the requirements that this sector requires can be selected", he said.

In addition, the minister mentioned that with the implementation of the “Proyecto empleo juvenil” for the benefit of young people without work experience can access their first job coordinated with private companies in labor insertion, the program will be carried out through the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).  
"We want to thank the Minister of Labor, on behalf of the call centers for having helped us generate these jobs, it is a gain for the country, the generation of these jobs", said Claudia Ibanez, president of Amchan.
 
 

The economic activities were affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, so with the implementation of these 12,000 jobs, it is intended to improve the quality of life of families and provide opportunities for those who, due to the difficulties and implications, were left unemployed.

The minister also announced the departure of a new contingent with H2B visas, which will include women, so he will provide more details until Friday on this new announcement.
