Financial System entities sign agreement for technical cooperation in Financial Education

Today, the President of the Banco Central (BCR), Douglas Rodriguez, and the Secretary of Trade and Investment, Miguel Kattan, presided over the signing of the Technical Cooperation Agreement on financial education and inclusion, between the BCR and the financial system entities.

The purpose of the agreement is to coordinate efforts in financial education. The BCR will support the institutions in the creation of a "Financial Education Program", with the purpose of developing the financial knowledge and capabilities of their clients.

The head of the BCR explained that the institutions are carrying out actions in the area of financial education and with this alliance we will provide them with the necessary technical assistance for the implementation or follow-up of Financial Education Plans in their institutions.

Among the benefits of this agreement is the recording and consolidation of statistical information on the scope of all actions carried out in the area of financial education by the public and private sectors.

The participating institutions are Banco CUSCATLAN, Bancoagricola, Banco Atlantida, Banco de Fomento Agropecuario (BFA), ABANK, Davivienda, Banco Industrial, Banco Azul, Banco Promerica, BAC Credomatic and Banco Hipotecario.
