According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the food price index averaged 124.3 points in may 2023 down 2.6% from april and 22.1% below the all-time high it reached in march 2022.

The world food price index fell for the ninth consecutive month in december 2022, decreasing 1.9% from the previous month, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) reported.

The international food price index, according to the United Nations (FAO), averaged 140.9 points in july 2022, down 13.3 points from june, declining for the fourth consecutive month.
