The Defensoría del Consumidor has withdrawn from the market a little more than 345 products, corresponding to bakery products, alcoholic beverages 29%, cereals and derivatives 21%, carbonated beverages 15%, about 9% cookies, candies, flour products, snacks, dairy products, meats and sausages. These were found in kitchens.

During the beginning of Summer 2024 Plan, teams from the Defensoría del Consumidor have gone to different points of commerce to check prices and quality of products and services.

The Defensoría del Consumidor, Ricardo Salazar, explained that during the holiday period the institution attended 4,947 salvadorans who approached the points of attention nationwide and through digital media to exercise their rights against abuses and non-compliance of suppliers of goods and services.

The Defensoría del Consumidor conducted an inspection at the fairground and mechanical games "SivarLand", as part of the actions of the August 2023 Vacation Plan, in which a wide deployment has been made to defend the rights of consumers.
