Written by Karla Gutiérrez

The Defensoría del Consumidor has withdrawn from the market a little more than 345 products, corresponding to bakery products, alcoholic beverages 29%, cereals and derivatives 21%, carbonated beverages 15%, about 9% cookies, candies, flour products, snacks, dairy products, meats and sausages. These were found in kitchens.

This recall was carried out during the vacation period to avoid abusive practices to the detriment of the population, since during the festive season there is a high level of consumption.

"Of the 345 products, 55%, or 193 products, were detected in the kitchen. This is a very delicate situation because of the high risk it represents for the consumer", he said.

Meanwhile, about 152 expired foods were identified on the shelves. In view of this situation, he urged the population to be careful when shopping and to report any irregularity through 910 or WhatsApp 7844-1482.
