The heads of the Security Cabinet and the Fiscalía General de la República presented the results of a new drug seizure, which resulted in the interception of three vessels and nine foreign crew members.

“We want to emphasize this joint work, which has positioned our country as the safest in the Western Hemisphere. This is not only because we combat gangs, but also because we combat drug trafficking and drug dealing in our country, but also because we build trust and security abroad”, said Minister of National Defense, Vice Admiral René Francis Merino Monroy.

The interception of the drugs, along with the crew members, is the result of the constant work carried out by the National Navy, through the Fuerza de Tarea Naval Tridente, of the Fuerza Armada de El Salvador.

“As the Security Cabinet, we have a clear and firm decision to combat drugs, both within our territory and abroad. Know that President Nayib Bukele and his Security Cabinet are tireless in continuing to maintain, defend, and place where they belong those who do not want to live in society. Murderers, rapists, thieves, and drug dealers we go out every day to take care of you”, stated the Minister of Justice and Security, Gustavo Villatoro.
